Noosa is a seaside holiday town at the north end of the Sunshine Coast in the state of Queensland, Australia. It is a place of exceptional natural beauty that has been designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
The main surf beach is protected by a headland that turns the temperamental Pacific Ocean into a gentle swell that is perfect for those new to surf beach swimming. The climate is warm, subtropical with a sea temperature in February of 27°C.
Only a few hundred metres from the centre of the town lies the Noosa National Park oLering numerous coastal and forest walking trails. One can expect to see pods of dolphins and sea turtles, while, on land, one can encounter wallabies, koalas, goannas, echidnas, laughing kookaburras and various species of colourful parrots.
